TMR's qconnect network provides integrated public passenger transport services to 18 regional centres across Queensland. As part of the progressive rollout of Smart Ticketing, both urban and school services operated by qconnect operators will receive the new ticketing solution.

While Smart Ticketing will deliver real-time service information to regional customers, a few of qconnect's school services already provide bus tracking information to parents and students using a 'bus on a map' display. In order to deliver a consistent customer experience and minimise disruption to parents and students, Smart Ticketing would like to add regional school services and real-time information to the current network information. To do so the school services will need to be added into HASTUS.

To provide 600 school buses, operating approximately 1200 individual services, with real-time services, a supplier with specialist bus scheduling services will need to be engaged to enter regional school bus network data into HASTUS.
